There's local history to be revealed in this weeks walk led by Villagers Margaret and Curt Weil who send us these directions: We will begin our walk in the North Palo Alto neighborhood promptly at 10:00 next to Johnson Park at the corner of Hawthorne and Waverley Streets. Meet in the center of the park. We will experience an interesting variety of architecture and trees, two parks, including the landmark of Palo Alto's beginning, two pedestrian bridges, two cities, two counties, one creek, and an urban zoo! For the most part our walk will be on level city sidewalks.
NOTE: If your GPS insists on a street address, use 193 Waverley Street.
Village Walkers, a Village Members only group, take turns leading walks in local neighborhoods or areas of interest. A longer and shorter walk are usually planned for the route to accommodate differing needs. Contact Ralph Cahn via call or text at (650) 245-0280 to be added to the Walkers email list, to receive descriptions and directions for each week's walk.
