Margaret and Curt Weil will lead this week's Lucie Stern / Birge Clark themed walk. Please park in the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo parking lot, 1451 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, to the left of the sign (in back of Margaret in the photo below).

We will gather at a picnic table on the grounds of the Lucie Stern Community Center . The Weils will be nearby to guide you to the bench. From the Community Center we will walk to the homes Lucie built for herself and daughter Ruth, at 1990 and 1950 Cowper Street, respectively. 

The Community Center and the two homes on Cowper were designed by Birge Clark, as was our own Avenidas headquarters at 450 Bryant Street.

Village Walkers, a Village Members only group, take turns leading walks in local neighborhoods or areas of interest. A longer and shorter walk are usually planned for the route to accommodate differing needs.
