“Villages” are local grass-roots organizations focused on making it easier, safer, and more enjoyable for older adults to “age in place” in their own homes. Since the first Village was founded in Beacon Hill, (Boston) MA 20 years ago, the movement has grown to more than 300 community-based Villages with more than 40,000 members nationwide.
In recognition of this 20th Anniversary milestone,
February 15th has been designated as National Village Day.
