Chuck Sieloff planned and will lead the walk. This Wednesday's walk will explore a new route in Palo Alto's Midtown area, visiting two lesser known parks and roughly following the path of Matadero Creek (or Matadero Canal, as it's officially known). The route is totally flat and dogs on a leash are welcome. There is also an easy return to the starting point after the first 20 minutes.
We will meet before 10:00 in front of the CVS Drug Store in the Midtown Shopping Center (2701 Middlefield Rd, Palo Alto). Lots of parking available. The walk will end at the Palo Alto Cafe, an independent coffee shop that worked hard to survive the pandemic. To reward their efforts, I would like to invite anyone who wants to socialize a bit to join me for a post-walk treat.
Village Walkers, a Village Members only group, take turns leading walks in local neighborhoods or areas of interest. A longer and shorter walk are usually planned for the route to accommodate differing needs. Contact Ralph Cahn via call or text at (650) 245-0280 to be added to the Walkers email list, to receive descriptions and directions for each week's walk.
