Let’s take a walk in the park this week into Shoreline Park in Mountain View. We will meet at the Kite Flying Field parking lot which is the second right turn after you enter the park through the main entrance at the end of North Shoreline Blvd (address is 3160 North Shoreline Blvd).     Arrive at 9:45 to introduce ourselves and to meet any new members/guests.  We begin by crossing the street and following the frontage road/pathway between the golf course and the back side of Shoreline Amphitheater.  As we approach a small bridge, we turn right towards Michael’s and the putting green.  Next, we wind our way past the Rengstorff House and check out Shoreline Lake.  As the fall migration has started, there may be some waterfowl and other winter birds. We then take the pathway that parallels the road back to the parking lot.  The walk is around 2 miles on generally paved walkways and should take about an hour or less.
