Avenidas Village is a membership program offered through the non-profit agency Avenidas, designed to help people remain in their homes as they age by providing personalized assistance, pre-screened service providers and social activities. We are one of more than 200 Villages across the nation, and the first on the West Coast. Avenidas Village is a program of Avenidas, which has been a trusted provider of senior services in the Palo Alto area for over 40 years.
In addition to a Gold level membership in Avenidas (included in your membership fee), membership in Avenidas Village provides, at no additional cost, the following:
Annual membership in Avenidas Village is $970 for a Single Membership and $1390 for a Dual Membership (2 people in a household).
Avenidas Village membership gives you access to a wide range of service providers who offer everything from personal transportation to plumbing to grocery delivery to gutter cleaning and more. We’ve done the work of screening these providers so you don’t have to, and we’ve made arrangements with many of them to provide discounts to Avenidas Village members. You can contact the Avenidas Village staff and ask them to coordinate the details for you, or use your members-only directory (available in both a printed and an online format) and make your own arrangements. It’s your choice.
Just ask! Avenidas Village staff is here to help.
6. What is the incentive to become a member while I am still in good health?
As a member of Avenidas Village, you can connect with a network of like-minded friends for social engagement and to help and support one another. If you don’t currently need services, you can participate as a volunteer or committee member or simply enjoy meeting other members through social activities and interest groups. And when you need it, our dedicated Avenidas Village staff is here to enhance your lifestyle by helping you deal with tasks you previously had to handle on your own. As with insurance, Avenidas Village membership helps you to be prepared for the unexpected and provides you with a safety net of support should you require it.
7. Who can join?
The program is open to adults 50+ who live in Palo Alto, Mountain View, Portola Valley, Woodside, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Menlo Park, Atherton, East Palo Alto, and Stanford.
8. Can I buy a membership for my parents?
Yes, gift memberships are available and are a thoughtful way to show your parents you care about their well-being. Your parents can avail themselves of as many of the membership benefits as they’d like—it’s their choice. This is a gift that provides both you and your parents with invaluable peace of mind.
